Fast facts about grants

In counties with confirmed wolf presence, all applications for grants for protective vests are in principle granted. You can get up to 50% of the purchase price back (maximum amount varies per county, often up to 5,000 SEK).

Simple digital application for a grant for a protective vest

The County Administrative Board provides a joint e-service to facilitate applications for support for protective vests and wolf steel. DOGTECH products are tested and recommended by the Wildlife Damage Center, which is a basic requirement for being granted financial support.

1. Purchase your equipment The vest must be purchased during the same calendar year you apply. Always save the receipt and documentation.
2. Apply via e-service Use the County Administrative Board's digital service. Attach a receipt showing the price, date and company details.
3. Payment of the grant After processing, the grant will be paid into your account. In some cases, you may be asked to provide a short evaluation of the equipment after the season has ended.

DOGTECH is a proud partner in the international project LIFE WILD WOLF , supported by the EU and SLU . Preliminary data from the first year of the study confirm the life-saving function of the vests in case of sharp attacks:

Survival from a wolf attack

During the documented period, six dogs equipped with DOGTECH protective vests were attacked by wolves – all survived with only minor injuries. During the same period, two dogs participating in the study without vests were killed.

Protection during wild boar hunting

The study documented 15 wild boar attacks on dogs wearing DOGTECH vests, with mild outcomes. Dogs without protection generally suffered serious injuries that required emergency and costly veterinary care.
