A historical legacy in modern form
The concept of using physical protection in the form of spikes to safeguard dogs against predators is a proven idea with roots dating back several hundred years, including Jonas Arvidsson's 1826 "protective vest" made of leather straps with long spikes. But where history stopped at simple iron collars, DOGTECH picked up with modern manufacturing.
We did not invent the basic principle, but we have innovatively developed it further according to the KIS(S) method for the modern hunting dog. By integrating lightweight materials, stainless steel, and a simple design, we have created a protection system that has proven effective as wolf protection in demanding terrain. It is this specific modernization that today serves as the blueprint that competitors in the market choose to replicate.
